Le Flambeau Fact Sheet

Mission – intellectual infrastructure development for Haiti – rebuilding Haiti via education.

Scholarships – awarding college scholarships to students in Haiti, to attend U.S. institutions.

Preparatory Support – preparatory tools and programs provided for students in Haiti.

Scholars – scholars are gifted community members and leadership performers in Haiti.

Haiti Commitment – college scholars make a two-year commitment to give back to Haiti upon graduation.

Non-Profit Organization – in its tenth year, the Le Flambeau Foundation is a 501©3 Wisconsin corporation.

Status – awarded four scholarships to U.S. colleges/universities – all scholars graduated as of May 2017, four earthquake scholarships awarded in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, youth community remains engaged.

Circle of Friends – supported by a board, a scholarship committee, corporate partners and individual supporters.
